I AM, I THINK I AM.... what? On a Threshold of a Dream is the start of their own label part of DECCA...

Australian 1969 first issues were 1969 UK imports. All 550 series pressings are later Australia reissues of the 1970's.

Time machine transporting the listener to the 60's, Canaby Street. Sounds great!

Does this record have a real mono mix or just a fold down?

My copy has a completely different track listing in the gatefold

This release (r12306655) The Moody Blues - On The Threshold Of A Dream is the first version of this record that I have been aware of the last note continuing into the locked groove. I guess that I have always used a semi-automatic that lifts the stylus when it gets close to the label. In this release, the locked groove is a long way from the label so the lifter never gets triggered. Nice detail!

Matrix code on my copy reads = b-2 des-18025 zal 8828 k-bs.

Booklet is included in my copy. Deram label on front is Black and White, not brown and white. 1969 copyright date seen on back cover, but not on the front cover. No ISBN code on this copy either.

While not a bad reissue attempt here, it lacks some bottom end, truncates the booklet into a two panel and the infinite runoff groove on side two isn't done. An original SML1035 will not hurt the pocket and are plentiful. I would avoid this MOV for this reason.

A misunderstanding, terrible press. The steam spreads through the speakers covered with pillows. At the end of the 2nd half, the cartridge generally rotates indefinitely on the last note.

I have a CRC copy that lacks the cross-fades on side 1 only. Side 2 plays normally. This makes the changes between "Send Me No Wine," and "To Share Our Love" very awkward, as they fade out during the transitions and fade back in after a few seconds while the tracks are in mid-transition. Truly weird!
